About Us

Our Mission and Vision
The Delta Pilots Charitable Fund promotes the health, education, and welfare of America’s most valuable resource—our children. The fund is committed to investing our time and our money toward partnerships with organizations, programs, and services that enrich, strengthen, sustain, and improve the lives of children in our communities.

Our History
The Delta Pilots Charitable Fund (DPCF) was founded in 1999 by Delta pilots who wanted to give back to their communities. The fund has granted over $2 million dollars to over 200 charities. The DPCF is supported by individual contributions from Delta pilots. It is the first charitable fund, managed and funded entirely by the pilots of a major U.S. airline. Volunteer pilots from across the Delta system serve on the DPCF Board.

Delta pilots continue the tradition today and are dedicated to improving the lives of children in areas where we live and work.

Since inception, the Delta Pilots Charitable Fund has donated more than $2 million to 200 children’s charities. The fund built the Delta Pilots High Flying Adventure Area at the Detroit Metro YMCA’s Camp Ohiyessa and funded 100 camper scholarships there in perpetuity, funded a playroom at the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, purchased an ambulance for the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, donated to the Lupus Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, United Mitochondrial Disease, Faith’s Home, Camp Horizon, Texas Baptist Children’s Home, Angel House, Agape, the Boys and Girls Club of SE Louisiana, Rally Foundation for Children’s Cancer Research, Race for Riley, Children Arthritis Foundation, Butterfly Wishes for Ellie to Fight EB, The Children's Justice Center in Summit County Utah, Canine Assist, Paws and Think, as well as autism charities and many more child-focused causes where Delta pilots work and live.

In response to the Covid 19 national public health emergency the Delta Pilots Charitable Fund has partnered with Blessings in a Backpack to provide $100,000 in funding. This grant will provide nutrition for 25,000 food insecure children in cities like ATL, CVG, DTW, NYC, SEA, LAX, & SEA
