OUR HISTORY
The Delta Pilots Charitable Fund (DPCF) was founded in 1999 by Delta pilots who wanted to give back to their communities. The fund has granted over $2 million dollars to over 200 charities. The DPCF is supported by individual contributions from Delta pilots. It is the first charitable fund, managed and funded entirely by the pilots of a major U.S. airline. Volunteer pilots from across the Delta system serve on the DPCF Board.
Delta pilots continue the tradition today and are dedicated to improving the lives of children in areas where we live and work.
Since inception, the Delta Pilots Charitable Fund has donated more than $2 million to 200 children’s charities. The fund built the Delta Pilots High Flying Adventure Area at the Detroit Metro YMCA’s Camp Ohiyessa and funded 100 camper scholarships there in perpetuity, as well as many more child-focused causes where Delta pilots work and live.
